Condition:

• Overview:Presenting a highly desirable black paint Leica M2, featuring an exceptionally appealing natural patina. This example exhibits the honest, characterful wear consistent with regular use over the years, while its viewfinder and mechanical functions remain in superb condition—ready for immediate shooting.
• Body & Cosmetics: The camera displays clear signs of regular use, with notable scuffs and wear to the renowned black paint finish, revealing the brass body beneath. There are no dents or deep marks on the body itself; however, the base plate shows a few minor dings. Please note that the strap lug on one side has become slightly loose.
• Mechanics & Performance:All controls operate very smoothly. The film advance is fluid, the shutter speeds are accurate, and the rangefinder is perfectly aligned. This camera is fully functional and ready for immediate use.
• Note: This camera was previously purchased from us in October 2018. According to Cameraquest, this specific example was one of the 300 cameras allocated for the 1963 production run.
