Overview: This is a very good example of an increasingly rare early M3, from the first production batch in 1954 with allocated serial numbers between 700,000 and 710,000. Aside from a single-stroke conversion and a modern leatherette replacement, which is a very close match to the original vulcanite, the rest of the camera retains its original features. These include the glass pressure plate, the "Buddha ear" strap lugs, and the absence of a frame selector lever, among others.
